Quick note ... I'm available - is gone!
The spinning wheel has been purchased and will soon be living in the Blue Mountains.
I'm available!
Spinning Wheel on eBay
Just listed this spinning wheel on eBay for $55 Buy It Now. I purchased it at an auction many years ago and never used it. It has been used and I think it is a kit, perhaps an Ashford. I'm not sure. It doesn't have any markings. It's in good condition, just needing the wheel band replaced (might do that myself before it sells). There are 4 spools and the spool holder (whatever it is called). Anyway, what you see in the photo is what is available.
Christmas Knitting
Future Trinkets
These five balls of yarn are destined to become Trinkets. A couple will be Christmas presents - the others for meeeeee. Well, at some stage. I don't think if I can sit and continually knit Trinket after Trinket, I'll alternate with another project in between.Beginning at the back left we have ksh (kidsilk haze) in Bebe, Madil Kid Seta in a lovely Caramel colour, front left - ksh Swish, Trance and Liqueur. I have beads for all colours except Liqueur. No doubt will stumble across some before next winter.
Earthly Treasures
Trinket by Kim Hargreaves
Yarn - Rowan Kidsilk Haze - MajesticQuantity - 3 ballsNeedles - Addi Turbo 2.5 and 4mmLength - approx 173cmPurchased as a kit from KH siteWhat a gorgeous knit. I enjoyed every minute knitting this scarf. Very easy pattern with a fabulous result.I added an extra pattern repeat to the length, as I could see there was going to be sufficient yarn available for the ruffles.I'm now swatching for the Lacey Corset everyone seems to be knitting. I'm trying Jaeger Albany in colour Misty.

Ruffles and Beads
Smitten with Knittin'
Trinket by Kim Hargreaves
With the weather warming here in Sydney, any sane soul would pack away their winter knitting for more leisurely pursuits. Sanity doesn’t seem to exist in a knitter’s life.
I’m knitting a scarf. I never knit scarves. I dislike most of them with a passion, but, the Kim Hargreaves - Trinket - is different.
I know I’ve rabbited on about KH designs before and probably will again – I like her style in design and this scarf is no exception. A clever knitting pattern using Rowan Kidsilk Haze, with a sprinkle of beads on the frills.
I wouldn’t call this a quick knit, but it’s certainly an enjoyable one. I’m loving the effect of the KSH and with only a few more patterns to complete, the frills will take no time at all. I’ll post a photo when it’s done, along with other colours of KSH I’ll be using to knit another four.
I’m smitten!
