Knitting On The Avenue on eBay

Rib Detail Jacket - The Cashmere Collection

Cable jacket with hood

Colour 612

Knitting on the Avenue is now on eBay.

I've opened an eBay store and will be loading up Addi turbo circulars, bamboos and bamboo dpns, various yarns, books and patterns, from now on. There's not much in the store right now as I don't have time to load everything up - it takes so much time, but will endeavour to get most things done by the end of the week.

My daughter needs help this week with the kidlets, so that means I'll not have a lot of time to myself ... and just when I was doing so well on a new project.

Yes, I've started something new. Something I hadn't even considered knitting in wool. It's the same old story, I was tidying my wool room and came across some Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran, colour 612 - a Grape Wine colour. Almost identical to the shade card colour 617. 612 must be an old one as I don't even have that colour on my shade card. It wasn't really lost as it had been put away for the Cable Jacket with Hood from DB's number four book, but when I began knitting the pattern, it wasn't showing up too well and quickly swapped over to the Rib Detail Jacket from The Cashmere Collection. It will be a quick knit on 5mm, as I knit up most of the back last night, so hoping I get time this week to finish it.

Kitty Watch

I turned around quickly snapped this shot of Chloe boring holes in the back of my head. She sits behind me, in a bookcase in the study waiting for me to return to my knitting so she can lay on my lap and keep warm.

Magazine Swap

My Magazine Swap arrived today!

Thanks Krista it's great and the chocolate is (was) a hit! Hope your magazine arrives soon.

Krista wrote in an email that she "found it a lot tricker than it sounded", and I totally agree with her. I thought it would be easy... you go to a store, choose a magazine and pop it in the post. Okay, I got to the store and found plenty, but what to choose!

I asked for a hint as to what she would like and Krista helped out by suggesting - Japanese craft, soft toys, decor, parenting... okay, that'll be easy - back to the store. So many, what would she like, back home to read her blog again ... look for pictures of what my swap pal has made ... hmmm ... think I have it this time.

Hit eBay, there'll be plenty there, and there was. Got one and it's been sent, but was a little disappointed that it will not have that personal touch of a wrapping or a sweet included.

Hope you enjoy the magazine Krista.

Added a couple of Jo Sharp books to my library. A friend has knitted the Diamond Vest from JS Saturday using Cathay and it looks fabulous, but then again, this friend is a perfectionist with her knitting. She doesn't have a blog as yet, so no photos, but she is thinking about it and when she does the blogiverse will be flooded with fabulous knitting and wonderful ideas.

Is anyone going to the Australian Sheep & Wool Show in Bendigo this year? I've decided to make the trek to Vic and dragging hubby along for company, but wouldn't mind meeting up with a few bloggers if anyone is going. Not sure what day I will be there, but arriving in Vic on the Thursday and leaving on the Sunday. Though we'd have a bit of a holiday at the same time.
