Miss 2.5 year old is 3 today!

I've completed the body and sleeves, attaching and knitting the yoke at present. No WIP photos as will be complete soon and will post then.

No other major news as busy with children until Sunday evening.

Is this a knitting blog? One would well ask!

Taking time to smell the roses ....

Okay, so it's not a rose .... but it is being held by a gorgeous little rose petal.

Not a lot to report on the knitting scene, although I have been knitting. Brocade has been a disappointment in that the collar is awful. I'm not keen on the way the collar pattern has been written - it doesn't sit properly. Anyone who has the pattern and takes the time to read how the collar is knitted and attached will no doubt scratch their head and wonder how it will fit. I've spent a lot of time trying different ideas, but in the end I have put Brocade on the back burner. She will get a ribbed round neckline at this stage, but will not be picked up again until next year.

Meantime, I've purchased some Katia Espiga - to knit .... Brocade! ... with a double ribbed bottom band and neckline. I've never been keen on single rib.

And just so as not to become bored with knitting Brocade once more, I'm knitting Cece in Calmer, colour Coffee Bean (from my stash). A few other bloggers have knitted this cool little cardi and I love not having to work out patterns, just purchase and knit. Calmer is lovely to knit with and the finished fabric is sitting really well even before blocking.
