World of Knitted Toys by Kath Dalmeny

I've listed a book containing knitted toys for kids on ebay. The book has never been used. Flipped through a few times, with the spine still in perfect condition. A really cute book for anyone who enjoys making toys for kids!

Fun, Games and Lots of Cake!

Daddy and Mummy made the cake and everyone loved it!

The Little Men have had a fabulous day, with Great Uncles and Aunts, Grandies, Just Uncles and Aunts, little friends, lots and lots of presents and cake, but most of all FUN!

Playing trains, outside on the swing, lots of cuddly toys, cards and paper.

Kids know how to have fun!

Lots of photos and cuddles to remember.

We have the memories of their very special day stored away for their future.

Family Matters ...

I had hoped to have three projects completed by now, but life is becoming busier.

This weekend will be spent painting out a new bathroom in preparation for the tiler to begin work Monday. This will be a week long project.

Monday, 3 year old Princess has dancing and the day with Grandma.

Tuesday, our pergola is due to begin (this was supposed to have been completed by xmas 2006!!!). This is estimated to take 7 days and I'm sure there will be last minute items to take care of when the material is delivered (ie: are the workmen here as well?!!!).

Wednesday, shopping and preparation for the remainder of the week :

Thursday, Darling Daughter's birthday. Will be spending the day with her, lunching and a family dinner/party in the pm.

Friday, the twins turn One Year Old. I'll certainly be spending the day with my very special little men. The time has gone so quickly.

Saturday, the family party for the little men. Perhaps I'll take a few happy snaps!

Sunday, February 25th - I may get to see the inside of my own home and look for those elusive projects that will surely be lost in the depths of dust and cobwebs.

'till then knit bloggers xx

Rowan Magazine #41

Knitters!

If you have not received/purchased your Rowan #41, then go find a website to view their new release of knitwear and get yourself a copy.

#41 is fabulous, unlike previous editions that were less than average, #41 is a must imho.

There are so many projects that are not only knittable, but wearable, it is difficult to know where to begin, but I'm sure someone out there will make an executive decision shortly and start the ball rolling.

Knit on people!

Stitches & Craft Show - Sydney

I visited the S&CS at Rosehill this morning and had a good look around. The following is a personal view of the show - nothing more.

Very small show. It's advertised as covering four levels ... it does. The four levels consist of :
Level 1 basement - workshops
Level 2 ground floor - exhibitors
Level 3 1st floor - mostly beads
Level 4 2nd floor - doll and bear show, some workshops

I personally found it disappointing. Not many exhibitors, mostly beads, in fact hundreds of beads, some patchwork, scrapbooking, stamping booths and the usual company traders ie: Bernina, etc. Patons was there with their knitting books. A couple of other book booths, really, nothing outstanding.

I was through the place in half an hour and went back around a few times to make sure I didn't miss anything, stretching my stay to one hour.

If you're going to the show to attend workshops or shop for beads of every discription, you'll have a great time.

There was a vintage button booth, which was fabulous if you like vintage button - I like vintage buttons. I didn't purchase any as I couldn't think of anything I'd use the buttons on at present, but they do have an ebay store - sew*yesterday.

People, if you cannot make it to the show this year, remember, there is always next year.
