Knitterly Letter Swap

This was such a fantastic idea and looks like loads of people have had fun, but, there have been disappointments.

By now everyone should have sent and received their letters, but unfortunately this has not happened, resulting in people not receiving a letter at all.

Of course there are always circumstances where life gets in the way and this cannot be avoided, but for some, they simply just do not complete, resulting in people who have participated not receiving a letter or a reply at all.

Why is it that people sign up for swaps, then neglect to meet their responsibilities?

Perhaps the recipient was not what they were expecting, not in their age group, or at their particular point in life or similar lifestyle, or was it simply just too hard. No matter what the reason, people have been let down and it is not fair.

A few lines jotted onto a piece of paper, a stamp and a trip to the mail box. Is it really that difficult to achieve? If so, why bother signing up in the first place?

Be brave, start scribbling, gee, maybe you’ll actually enjoy yourself, for sure you’ll put a smile on a dial somewhere in the world!

Added April 23rd : I may have given the impression from the above post that I had not received a letter, but I have received a Knitterly Letter. I just thought it a shame that some people had not received one. Do hope by now that everyone has received their letter.

What a girl wants!

What more could a girl ask for?!!!

Not only Easter Eggs from the Easter Bunny (who, by the way, left a trail of eggs all through the house), but a Barbie Easter as well. Oh the joy!

Unbelieveable what is available for kids these days. Grandad found the Barbie eggs for his Princess, which of course were received with much joy and lots of hugs and kisses.

There were milk carton Barbie eggs, packets of Barbie eggs (pink of course), and good old fashioned Easter Bunny eggs. By the end of the day we were all suffering from chocolate overload, which is quite evident in the fridges today ... plenty of eggs left over. We've had to hide the remainder from our chocoholic Princess, as she'd eat them for every meal. She called last night to ask if I'd bring a few back home ... obviously had time to sit and check her stock levels and found stock missing. She definitely takes after her Dad and Grandad, as they are both terribly addicted to chocolate.

SP10 and Happy Easter everyone.

I've been at it again, shopping on eBay, but not for myself, gifts for others.

Having joined the SP10 this round and sending surprises from all over the world to my SP, one has had to be a little sneaky, but I've also had a little help. One eBay seller in particular has been terrific, she has sent off SP10 surprises as well as Easter gifts, including a little note on my behalf. I think she deserves some recognition or at least a good old fashioned plug, as her eBay store has lots of gorgeous product. I am going to treat myself later on in the year, as some of the Handmaiden kits are just beautiful.

People, please, take a cruise around Kathleen's beautiful store :: tidalbrookyarns
