COPYRIGHT!!!

Once again I find myself writing regarding this issue.

Once again the offending person should know better!

Will I involved myself and post the offending blog and business concerned?

Truly people … wake up … if you copy a product produced by someone else, it is stealing.

Dreams are made of ...

sugar and spice and all things nice … that’s what little girl’s dreams are made of.

We took the Princess along to the Barbie Fairytopia today …. I think the pictures tell it all.

I’ll admit I’m totally biased and I don’t care … my Princess is gorgeous and she so loves Barbie and fairies.

Every little girl’s dream …. and sometimes big girls enjoy it too!

Does it get any better than this?

Shopping, knitting, enjoying your crafts ....

Placed an order with one of my favourite yarn suppliers in the UK last Friday, July 6th.

Checked post office box today, July 10th - the order was sitting waiting for me!

4 days from the UK!!!! This is a record people.

Two of my very favourite UK yarn stores deserve a mention, not only for the fabulous service I always receive, but because they always offer that little extra … nothing is a problem, always answer emails.

Jannette’s Rare yarns
Cucumberpatch

My all time favourite place to order books -
The Book Depository. Realistic prices with free shipping worldwide. Usually 5 days shipping from the UK!

I have always received exceptional service from all three UK stores.

Not forgetting two Victorian on-line retailers in Australia who have always been absolutely fantastic. Nothing is ever a problem for these people either.

The Knittery
Yarns On Line

Super fast shipping, friendly personal service and I’m sure, a smile at the same time.

Now, what am I working on at the moment … something for the husband … Revere from
Scottish Inspirations. I’m using Rowan Yorkshire Tweed - aran, colour Thorny.

Joyous Knits has completed Revere and it looks wonderful.

The design is conventionally knitted in pieces, but I’m knitting the body in one piece to the underarms. Have completed the back and one front – love the reveres on this design - one front and sleeves to go. Hoping to begin the sleeves on the weekend. The nice thing about this knit is it’s so easy. The pattern is well written, as long as you don’t have a couple of wines with dinner, then try and decipher it! It will be complete for him to wear this winter.

Will most likely begin the
Hex Coat from Knitting Nature by Norah Gaughan next. Then onto spring/summer knitting.

Tomorrow I’m meeting my sister for morning tea as it’s her 50th, with the big family do Saturday. Not a lot of knitting happing before next week, but will manage to squeeze some in I’m sure.

… ‘till then … enjoy your knitting time.

Knitting News ...

Knit 1 Blog 1 Exhibition

An Exhibition opens in Canberra at the Craft ACT: Craft and Design Centre July 13th – August 26th. Read all about it on the follow link. I’ve submitted Ram’s Horn Jacket and a couple of ski sweaters for babies.

There will be Knit Ins and Workshops
Gallery 1: Knit1 Blog1
Curated by Barbara McConchie, Knit1 Blog1 exposes the social phenomena of knitting and blogging. The Festival of Contemporary Art opens at the Australian National University School of Art Gallery 5:30pm, Craft ACT 6:15pm and Festival Party at the Canberra Contemporary Art Space 7pm.
More about Knit1 Blog1

I’ll be visiting Canberra toward the end of July, so will drop in to see the Exhibition then. Disappointed I cannot be there for the opening, but I guess I’ll just have to attend my sister’s 50th birthday! I don’t think she would appreciate or understand being passed up for a knitting exhibition … couldn’t imagine why.

In other news ...

A new de-stash site has started up, Yarn Sale or Swap.
